The Columbia County Democratic Committee has endorsed Attorney and Former Austerlitz Town Judge Cheryl Roberts for Assembly in the newly redrawn 107th Assembly District. The endorsement was unanimous.
Columbia Democrats Chair Cyndy Hall stated she is “particularly pleased and excited about the caliber, qualifications and experience of our Democratic candidates and I am especially thrilled that Columbia County women are taking on the awesome task of campaigning for public office. I couldn’t be happier about that.”
Cheryl Roberts is a former Town of Austerlitz Judge and local attorney and is running in the 107th Assembly District which includes the towns of Hillsdale, Austerlitz, Canaan, Chatham, Kinderhook and New Lebanon in Columbia County, most of Rensselaer County and the towns of Cambridge and White Creek in Washington County. Roberts said, “I am looking forward to meeting the people of the district and listening to their concerns. I promise to do my best and work hard as this campaign moves forward.”
